| 2008 LVHIFF BOYS OVER FLOWERS - THE MOVIE
Spotlight on Japan | North American PREMIERE
When the popular television series ended, Tsukushi Makino (a girl from the wrong side of the tracks), graduates from the elite high school, Eitoku Gakuen, and wins the heart of Tsukasa Domyoji – the richest and most popular boy. The story takes place four years later and Tsukasa has just proposed to Tsukushi on national TV. She accepts and is given a priceless family heirloom – a jewel encrusted tiara. Tsukishi is overwhelmed by the media and as Tsukasa attemps to assuage her doubts a thief enters their room and steals the heirloom right from under their noses. After failing to grab him at the hotel, Tsukasa gets word that the thief and tiara are in Las Vegas. Together he and a determined Tsukushi fly to America – starting a strange and dangerous, if giddily romantic, adventure.
